5 Terrible Morning Habits to Stop Immediatley


Our routine is usually what ultimately sets us up for our successes or fails for the day. For some people if you even remotely get separated from your routines then it could be bad news for who ever is on the other end of that. Routines are way of controlling our lives through a process or certain set of activities that makes one's self less stressed (Or so we think).

People's routines usually start in the morning and this is where the day can be won or lost. If you are one of these people then here are 5 terrible morning habits to stop immediately so you are set up to win the day.

1. Hitting The Snooze Button

You may not be sleeping in but hitting the snooze button 10 times every 5 minutes sure isn't going to be setting you up for success. This simple bad habit could ruin even the most organized of days.


2. Not Setting up Your Surroundings For Success

Your environment and organization matters a lot, it can make your day much easier if everything is accessible and easy to find. To be productive you may need to change up your surroundings.


3. No Evening Prep

The best mornings usually happen from prepping the day before. Plan out the next day, get everything ready for the next day like clothes, meals, gas for your car. Be ready to greet the next day with a optimism.


4. Not Having a Morning Routine

A morning ritual can bring you contentment, peace, clarity and focus, and keep you healthy, productive and successful in the long run.

It's the key to jumpstarting your day and making the most of the early hours. Decide what habits you’ll include, and stick to it every time.

Some might not work that well for you, so you can easily replace them with more effective practices.

Do anything from journaling and having a workout, to drinking a glass of water, reading something inspirational and saying positive affirmations out loud to get motivated and stay focused on your goals.


5. Having a Negative Attitude

If you approach something with a negative mind, you can’t enjoy it and it becomes something you prefer to avoid


Such is the case with people who claim to hate mornings, to dread weekdays because they need to wake up early to go to work, or to keep saying they’re not morning people.

But you can change that. Even if anything else in your life remains the same, you can think positively about mornings, because they are actually a great thing.

For that to happen, don’t wake up just to go to work. Do it to enjoy the early hours of the day, when you can do some creative work without being disturbed when you can clear your mind, drink your coffee in peace and appreciate the opportunities of the new day.

Accepting each new morning as a gift is a fantastic way to begin the day. Believe it or not, it will make getting up early easier too.
